Xia Zhiguang (夏之光) is a Chinese actor and singer born on January 4, 2000, in Hefei, Anhui province, China.He was born in the year of the rabbit :)His name, 夏之光, literally means "summer light," which was given to him by his grandfather.His nickname is 光光 (guangguang), and his fans are called aurora (极光/jiguang).His English nickname is X-Light, and Eric is also his English name.He participated in the talent show "X-Fire" in 2015 and made his debut with the boy group XNINE from the same show in 2016.He then participated in the survival show "Produce Camp 2019," where he ranked 4th place and made his debut as a member of the boy group R1SE.After the disbandment of R1SE in 2021, he shifted his focus to acting.He was a lead dancer in R1SE and is also a professional Chinese traditional dancer. He learned traditional Chinese dance in Shanghai Theatre Academy-affiliated middle and high schools.In 2017, he entered the Department of Acting in the 'Shanghai Theater Academy' with the 3rd rank, with the goal of becoming an actor.

He is a cat and animal lover and used to have three cats (Youtiao, Jiujiu, and Tuomei) and one bird (Niannian).He is now raising a dog (West Highland) named '星星 (Xingxing)', who is a cute little girl~Unfortunately, he said he is allergic to cat fur now.He had a cyst on his throat, and it was quite complex, so he got a surgery twice (2022 & 2024).His personal work studio was officially set up in 2021, and his staffs are called '小养 XiaoYang.'
